Adult and youth in kitchen, loading washing machineSupported lodgings act as a stepping stone for young people who are 16 to 21 old, have been in foster care and need support to begin living on their own in a safe, secure family environment.

We also provide supported lodgings for 16 to 17-year-old vulnerable young people in need.

Supported lodgings provide accommodation and supports the young person to acquire the necessary skills needed to make the transition from childhood to adulthood. These skills may include budgeting, cooking, household tasks, education and employment.

Ongoing support is provided for both you and the young person, including regular supervision and contact with an allocated social worker. Training will also be provided.

In addition, the young person will have a personal advisor to help and support them throughout their time with you.

Do you feel you have the skills to support a young person into independence?
