What the payment includes

Home from Home payments include a fostering allowance and a skills payment. An enhanced allowance helps cover the extra costs of caring for a child with additional needs.

  • Enhanced payments: we may agree extra payments of up to £300 per week based on the child's needs.
  • Flexible arrangements: many carers offer one night a month. Some offer more nights or care for more than one child. You can discuss what works for you with the team.
