Emergency duty placements (EDS)

Group of six children of varying ages, standing on gravel driveway

Emergency duty placements (EDS) involve caring for a child, teenager or siblings for a short period of time in an emergency, same day, situation.

Placements could be during the night or at weekends and could happen at short notice. You will need to be flexible to provide this type of care.

Foster carers are on duty for a one-week-in-four cycle. Children will stay for a maximum of seven nights and eight days. The aim is to provide care for children who are 0-18 years old.

If you feel you are able to offer a safe place for a child in immediate need, please get in touch with us.
