Current Service Details (Up Until Friday, 28 March 2014)
Until the new service becomes operational on Monday, 31 March 2014, we will undertake a fortnightly collection (Maximum of four bags per household) of green garden waste including:
Plants and shrubs
Leaves and twigs
Please do not include non-green waste items such as plant pots, plant trays, plastic compost sacks or plant labels.
For details of the collection days for your household please see Refuse and Recycling Collection Days.
Your green garden waste should be placed in a standard 90ltr green sack, which has been tied and which does not have any of the waste protruding. The green sack must be placed at the nearest point of your property to the Highway by 7.30am on your day of collection.
Do not leave out more than four green bags or pile extra green waste on top of your bags.
Green garden waste sacks can be purchased from most supermarkets and some DIY stores and garden centres.
Compost your green waste in your own garden – find out more at www.recyclenow.com/compost
We will not collect your green garden waste if it does not meet the requirements stated above. If your recycling has not been collected, we will place a sticker explaining the reason why it has not been collected.
Where a missed collection has been reported that is not a result of the above, we aim to collect your missed waste within one working day.
