On this page: Information about green garden waste recycling and how to report a missed collection.
Service Details
We undertake a fortnightly collection of green garden waste including:
Grass clippings
Plants and shrubs
Weeds
Hedge clippings
Leaves and twigs
Pond plants
Please do not include non-green waste items such as plant pots, plant trays, plastic compost sacks or plant labels.
For details of the collection days for your household please see Refuse and Recycling Collection Days.
Your green garden waste should be placed in a green sack, which has been tied and which does not have any of the waste protruding. The green sack must be placed at the nearest point of your property to the Highway by 7.30am on your day of collection.
Green garden waste sacks can be purchased from most supermarkets and some DIY stores and garden centres.
Service Levels
We will not collect your green garden waste if it does not meet the requirements stated above. If your recycling has not been collected, we will place a sticker explaining the reason why it has not been collected.
Where a missed collection has been reported that is not a result of the above, we aim to collect your missed waste within one working day.
