Tell us if we’ve missed a rubbish or recycling collection

Your general waste and recycling are collected by different vehicles, this means that your collections are carried out at different times of the day or for some areas on different days.

You can check that you have the correct collection day for your property on our collection day search page.

All rubbish and recycling should be placed at the nearest possible point to the property boundary, clearly visible to crews, by 6.30am on your collection day.

If you think we have inadvertently missed a collection of household rubbish or recycling, please let us know after 2.30pm on the collection day and we will return to collect bins/boxes that;

  • Were put out on time and in the correct place
  • Contain the correct items
  • Are reported by the end of next working day (i.e. 5pm)

You can report a missed collection online using the below form. You will be asked to create a My Account before you can complete the form:

Report a missed rubbish or recycling collection online

If you put your collection out late and missed the collection round, or if your collection day was more than 48hours ago, you will need to either take your rubbish/recycling in and put it out again during the next scheduled collection, or take it to the Household Waste & Recycling Centre.
