Book a visit to the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)
The HWRC is open for pre-booked visits only. This helps manage the number of vehicles on site, reduces queues on nearby roads, and minimises disruption to local businesses and our waste collection crews, who operate from the same location.
Before you visit
- The HWRC is open every day except Wednesdays
- The earliest slot you can book is at 8.00am to 8.20am
- The latest slot you can book is at 4.00pm to 4.20pm
- The HWRC no longer accepts commercial or trade customers, vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, or vehicles such as flatbed trucks, tipper vans, caged trucks and vans, or double-axle trailers
- DIY waste is now limited. Visit our DIY waste page to find out what you can bring and how much.
- Company-liveried vehicles are no longer allowed. This includes any vehicle with visible business identifiers such as:
- logos, decals or wraps
- business contact details or website addresses
- slogans or promotional graphics
- A declaration must be signed to confirm that the waste is from your own domestic property and meets the eligibility criteria before your booking is confirmed
