Completion notice

We may issue a completion notice to identify the date when work on a new building or conversion should be complete. If we believe that work on a property can reasonably be completed within the next three months, a completion notice can be issued stating a date of completion.

For an empty property, a completion notice states the date when full Council Tax will become payable.

If you disagree with a completion notice you should contact us to discuss a revised completion date.

If you remain unsatisfied, you can appeal direct to the Valuation Tribunal for England, within four weeks of a notice being sent.
