Report a missed waste or recycling collection
We aim to collect your waste and recycling on your scheduled collection day. If there are any known collection issues, we will publish updates on this page.
If your road is not listed below and your collection has been missed, you can report a missed waste or recycling collection.
You can also:
- use our waste wizard to find out what can be recycled and how to dispose of items correctly
- view household waste collections to check what goes in each container

Report a missed collection
Place your waste and recycling containers at the edge of your property by 6.00am on your collection day. Make sure they are clearly visible and accessible to collection crews.
You can check your collection day using our waste and recycling collection day checker.
If your collection has not been completed by 5.00pm, report it online by the end of the next working day.
You can also report a public litter bin that needs emptying.
When we can return to collect
We can usually return to collect your waste or recycling if:
- it was presented by 6.00am on the scheduled collection day
- it was placed in the correct location for collection
- it contained the correct materials
- you reported the missed collection by 5.00pm on the next working day after the scheduled collection
What you can report
- general waste
- recycling
- food waste
- garden waste (you will need your garden waste reference number)
- communal bins in shared bin stores
If you missed your collection
If your waste or recycling was not presented on time, or it is too late to report a missed collection, you can:
- book a visit to the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)
- keep the waste or recycling and present it on your next scheduled collection day
