How to register for bidding for the first time
If you are bidding for a property for the first time, you will need to register your account before you can place a bid.
- Start by visiting Step 5 – the bidding cycle. This page explains how the weekly bidding process works and how to access the bidding system. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the orange button labelled Register and bid for a property for the first time.
- You will be asked to enter your details, which you should complete. Do not put your application number in the tenancy reference number box.
- Click the ‘Next’ button and a new webpage will load saying ‘We have sent you a new password...’.
- When you have received the email, click the word ‘Login’ in the top right hand corner of the website and type in your username and the password you were given in the email. Please do not copy and paste your password. You will then be able to change your password to something you can remember more easily. Click the 'Sign in' button.
- When you wish to make a bid, you can login (in the way we have described above) using your username and password. Click the ‘Housing’ link in the menu at the top of the webpage and click ‘Place a bid’.
- You will be shown all the properties you are eligible to bid on for that week.
- If you see a property you wish to bid for, select ‘Interested’ and then select ‘Confirm’. That will automatically place the bid for you.
