- Visit www.swindon.gov.uk and in the search bar at the top of the website, type the word ‘bidding’ and click the search icon.
- When the search results webpage opens, select the first search result called ‘Bid for a council or housing association property’.
- When the webpage opens, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the orange button link that says ‘Register and bid for a property for the first time’.
- You will be asked to enter your details, which you should complete. Do not put your application number in the tenancy reference number box.
- Click the ‘Next’ button and a new webpage will load saying ‘We have sent you a new password...’.
- When you have received the email, click the word ‘Login’ in the top right hand corner of the website and type in your username and the password you were given in the email. Please do not copy and paste your password. You will then be able to change your password to something you can remember more easily. Click the 'Sign in' button.
- When you wish to make a bid, you can login (in the way we have described above) using your username and password. Click the ‘Housing’ link in the menu at the top of the webpage and click ‘Place a bid’.
- You will be shown all the properties you are eligible to bid on for that week.
- If you see a property you wish to bid for, select ‘Interested’ and then select ‘Confirm’. That will automatically place the bid for you.
