Dead livestock

By law, 'on-farm' burial and incineration of livestock carcases is banned. All must be disposed of correctly to reduce the potential risk of the spread of disease.

Carcases must be disposed of only at premises approved by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and must be accompanied by animal by-product movement documents.
