Report a pothole
We are responsible for repairing all public roads, pavements and cycle paths within the borough.
We do not maintain the A419 or M4. If you notice damage to either of those roads, you should report it to Highways England.
We've been working hard to repair Swindon's roads and footpaths. In 2018, we fixed 7,592 damaged patches or potholes. Only 910 of these were reported by the public. If you see a pothole on a road or footpath in the borough, you should report it to us.
You can find out more about our response times, how we decide what to repair and other information about the service on our pothole repairs question and answer page.
It's easy to report a pothole online. We appreciate your report because it allows us to identify damage we might not know about.
In the online report, you simply mark the pothole on a map and leave a few details.
We aim to inspect a reported pothole within four working days. After the inspection, we aim to fix all potholes over 40mm in depth within 24 hours. Anything under 40mm in depth is assessed and scheduled for repair at a later date.
