Licensing initiatives
Through partnership working, Swindon Borough Council Licensing Authority and Wiltshire Police are working closely with licensed premises and Swindon Pub Watch to promote safety in Swindon’s licensed venues and the night-time economy.
We are currently supporting the following initiatives:
The Ask for Angela scheme is already up and running with multiple venues supporting the initiative.
Its purpose is to help people who are on a date or have met someone at a venue and feel unsafe, to get support from venue staff.
Licensing Security and Vulnerability Initiative (LSAVI) is also being supported. Under this initiative, licensees complete an assessment to assess the safety and security of the licensed premises.
