Household recycling

Plastics collections

Plastic recyclable materials are collected fortnightly. This is a separate collection to your recycle box collection and may be on a different day. You can find your collection day using our online calendar.

The items should be clean and placed in a white or transparent plastic sack. We do not provide sacks for you. Dirty items pose a risk of contamination and will not be collected.

Bags should be placed at the nearest point of your property to the highway by 6.30am on your collection day.

What should and shouldn’t go in

Your white or transparent sacks can contain any of the items listed under ‘yes please’ below. Please note, you cannot leave out large plastic items such as garden furniture. These should be taken to the Household Waste and Recycling Centre.

Assisted collection

We offer an assisted collection for people who are physically unable to transport their household rubbish and recycling to the front of their property.
