Foot and mouth disease

Foot-and-mouth disease is a highly-contagious and sometimes fatal viral disease which affects (among others) cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. Any outbreak (or suspected outbreak) must be treated very seriously and action taken immediately.

If you keep animals and you suspect that any of them may have contracted Foot-and-mouth Disease, you must cease movements onto and off your farm (or property) immediately and contact Swindon Trading Standard Service.
