Volunteer to help your local library

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Swindon Libraries.

We only recruit volunteers for specific roles and all volunteers must be 18+.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the following roles:

Library volunteer – North Swindon Library
After school activity volunteer - Park Library
Summer Reading Challenge activity volunteers, See specific dates below:
- Tuesday, 5 August - West Swindon Library
- Thursday, 7 August - Highworth Library
- Wednesday, 13 August - North Swindon Library
- Tuesday, 19 August - Central Library
- Thursday, 21 August - Park Library

Applications for Summer Reading Challenge activity volunteers, need to be sent into us by 21 June to allow us processing time before the Summer holidays.

If you are interested in any of these volunteering opportunities, email libraries@swindon.gov.uk for further information about the role and an application form.

We are unable to accommodate Duke of Edinburgh or work experience placements at this time.

These volunteering opportunities can help you develop your skills, meet new people and contribute to your local community.

We are happy to discuss available volunteer roles and what they involve. We can explain how to apply and can provide you with information about training and the benefits of volunteering.
