SENCo clinics

SENCo clinics are designated slots for SENCo's with the EHCP coordinators to discuss queries you may have.

The coordinator will give you a Microsoft TEAMS call or phone call, depending on which one you prefer, to discuss the query you have. We recommend if you want to speak about more than one child or young person (CYP), to book one slot per child.

North, south and preparation for adulthood (PfA) SENCo clinics

These run every Wednesday between 3.00pm and 5.00pm.

They are for CYP with EHCP’s – it doesn’t matter if you do not know which hub your educational setting falls into, once you provide the correct information to us, we can work this out and book you in accordingly!

Assessment hub SENCo clinics

These run every fortnight between 3.00pm and 5.00pm and are designated slot with an EHCP Coordinator in the assessment hub. This is done on a rotational basis and there to provide advice and support relating to statutory assessments rather than CYP specific cases.

If you require a meeting or discussion regarding a specific CYP’s statutory assessment, please do let us know and we can arrange a call back with the correct EHCP Coordinator.

Booking into a SENCo clinic

Contact us by email at: SENDService@swindon.gov.uk stating the subject as “SENCo clinic booking” to ensure it can be identified and actioned as soon as possible.

Please provide the following information to allow the EHCP Coordinator to prepare before the meeting and provide you with the best support possible:

  • Your name and best contact number (if you prefer a TEAMS call/meeting please state this)
  • The educational setting you are from
  • Details of the child or young person(s) you wish to discuss (this will not be needed for the assessment hub as these slots are not CYP specific)
  • What you wish to discuss/reason for SENCo clinic
  • Your preferred time or availability for the SENCo clinic slot(s) (between 3.00pm and 5.00pm)

Once we have this information, we can book you in with the correct EHCP Coordinator, this is also the same criteria we need for assessment hub SENCo clinics.
