PACE support group

Little girl enjoying a playground ride PACE represents a therapeutic style of parenting. It stands for:

playfulness
acceptance
curiosity
empathy

All carers will attend PACE as part of their mandatory training and, following completion of the course, will be able to attend the PACE monthly support group.

The support group is led by the PACE trainer.

Foster carers bring scenarios to the group, and work together with the facilitator and other participants to learn to understand behaviour and explore strategies. This helps to embed the PACE approach to parenting.
