This page lists proposed Traffic Regulation Orders that are at Stage 1 of the approval process.
What happens at Stage 1
A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is a legal order that controls how roads are used.
We carry out an initial investigation to check whether each requested change is possible. We also consider:
- how the change could affect the wider road network
- whether we need to amend or revoke an existing TRO
- whether the change could move the problem elsewhere
Residents, local businesses and anyone else with an interest in a proposal will have an opportunity to comment.
We will consider the findings from the investigation and any comments received. If the proposal can continue, it will move to Stage 2 of the Traffic Regulation Order process.
