Apply for a pass plus subsidy

Pass Plus is a course that you can only take once you have passed your driving test. It consists of at least 6 hours of practical training.

The Pass Plus course covers:

  • motorway driving
  • town driving
  • country driving
  • all weather driving
  • night driving

By improving your driving skills and hazard awareness, you may reduce the risk of being involved in a serious crash. Some insurance companies offer a discount for young drivers who have completed a Pass Plus course. For more information go to the Government website.

We offer a £60 subsidy towards the cost of Pass Plus training.

  • living, studying or working in Swindon
  • using an approved driving instructor who is registered to deliver Pass Plus
  • registered with us before starting the Pass Plus course to receive your unique driver reference number. Your instructor will need this number before training.
  • aware that you are responsible for paying your driving instructor for the balance of the cost of training
