School safe environment zones (SSEZ)
Schemes completed in Year 2 - 2021/22
The top 15 schools that were identified for the year 2 programme, underwent further investigation to determine the most appropriate measures, dependent on their specific circumstances.

1. Swindon Academy (Penhill Primary School)

4. The Ridgeway School and Wroughton Junior School - a preliminary design has been drafted and is available for your review. Please be advised any proposed engineering interventions shown are currently on hold. Officers are still engaging with the schools regarding behavioural change initiatives.
5. Gorse Hill Infant and Junior School
6. St Catherine's RC Primary School - additional works and investigations have been undertaken to include Kingsdown School, in addition a park a stride scheme from Kingsdown Leisure Centre car park.

Works associated with the schemes above are programmed from 14 to 25 February 2022, with all traffic regulation orders (TRO) and experimental traffic regulation orders (ETRO) becoming effective on the 28 February 2022.
