Moredon sporting hub
Moredon Sporting Hub offers sport and leisure facilities for all ages, including people who are new to sport.

Facilities at Moredon Sporting Hub
The £6.3 million scheme provided:
- a full-size, floodlit 3G pitch, enclosed by fencing and suitable for:
- several teams to train at the same time
- senior and junior matches
- a one-kilometre, regional-standard closed-road cycling circuit, with:
- internal loops
- crossover points
- space for three separate groups to use the circuit at the same time
- facilities where younger cyclists can learn to ride
- car parking with:
- 125 standard spaces
- 11 accessible spaces
- two minibus spaces
- 56 overflow spaces
- a coach drop-off point
- natural grass sports pitches, including:
- two football pitches
- two cricket pitches
- a pavilion with:
- improved changing facilities
- a café
- a reception area
How the project was funded
Four funders supported the sporting hub:
- the Premier League, the Football Association and the government’s Football Foundation
- Sport England through the Places to Ride programme, delivered with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and British Cycling
- Central North Swindon Parish Council
- Swindon Borough Council
