Find out about the local sustainable transport fund

In 2011, Swindon Borough Council was successful in bidding for the Department for Transport’s “Local Sustainable Transport Fund” for £4.4million for a transport project in the town.

The bid aimed to support the regeneration of Swindon town centre by implementing a package of measures targeted at increasing the number of employees working in the town centre, who travel to work by sustainable modes (walking, cycling, public transport, car sharing or not travelling at all, such as working from home).
