National Literacy Trust in Swindon
The National Literacy Trust in Swindon works with Swindon Borough Council and local partners to improve literacy for people of all ages.
It helps children, young people and adults build the skills they need to use reading, writing, speaking and listening in everyday life.
What the project does
The project works with the local community to understand what support is most needed and deliver it in a practical way.
It focuses on people who need help most, supporting literacy:
- at home
- in schools
- in the community
Activities are designed to be creative and engaging.
From early years through to jobs and training, strong literacy skills can improve life chances.
