Proof of life validation

If you are a British national receiving a pension from an overseas country, we can validate the pension company’s request for confirmation of your life and residence in the United Kingdom.

The service is available from Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm. Please note that we are not able to advise you on how to complete your form.

You will need to bring:

  • the form that requires stamping
  • a valid passport or driver's license
  • valid proof of address which must be one of the following: a utility bill dated no more than 3 months before the date of the appointment; a driving license, if not used as photographic ID; bank or building society statement or passbook dated no more than 1 month before the date of the appointment; a council tax bill dated no more than 1 year before the date of the appointment; a mortgage statement dated no more than 1 year before the date of the appointment; a current residential tenancy agreement.
  • The fee for this service is £13.
