Proof of life validation

If you are a British national receiving a pension from another country, we can validate a pension company’s request to confirm that you are alive and living in the United Kingdom.


When the service is available

This service is available Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

Please note, we cannot advise you on how to complete your form.


What to bring to your appointment

You will need to bring:

  • the form that needs to be stamped
  • a valid passport or driving licence
  • valid proof of address
  • the £15 fee for this service

Your proof of address must be one of the following:

  • utility bill dated no more than three months before the date of your appointment
  • driving licence, if you have not used it as photographic identification
  • bank or building society statement or passbook dated no more than one month before the date of your appointment
  • Council Tax bill dated no more than one year before the date of your appointment
  • mortgage statement dated no more than one year before the date of your appointment
  • current residential tenancy agreement
