On this Page: Information about the service provided by the Dog Warden in keeping details of missing dogs within the Borough of Swindon and using it to match against details of stray dogs found in order to re-unite them with their owners.
Service Details
If you report a missing dog, please provide as much information as possible that might help us to be able to identify the dog as yours. In particular:
How to contact you (If possible, your name, address and telephone number, e-mail address).
A full description of your dog (e.g. breed, colour, markings).
Whether the dog has been identi-chipped.
The date and time the dog was lost.
The location from which the dog was lost, or was last seen.
If, when you report your dog missing, we do not have a dog that matches the description, it would be advisable for you to register the details through:
Local animal rescue centres
Vets in the area
Neighbouring local authorities if you live near the boundary
Placing adverts in local shops
Placing adverts in local newspapers
Use of websites that are dedicated to provision of lost pet information
Service Levels
The Dog Warden is available Mondays to Fridays (9.00am-5.00pm) and will contact you as soon as is practical during these hours if a dog fitting the description you have provided is found.
