Pay Policy Statement

This statement sets out the council’s policies in relation to the pay of its workforce (excluding schools). This is in line with Section 38 of the Localism Act 2011. The statement is approved by full council each year and published on the website.

It demonstrates an open and transparent approach to pay policy and includes:

  • chief officers
  • the lowest paid employees
  • the relationship between the pay of chief officers and the pay of other employees
