Swindon Local Plan

Local Plan review

Local Plan review – emerging strategies public consultation

We are carrying out a review of the current Local Plan for the Borough of Swindon for the period to 2036. The first stage, an issues and options public consultation, took place during the winter of 2017/18. A further public consultation is now taking place.

Emerging strategies stage

This consultation will look at the reviewed plan which proposes alternative strategies to meet our future housing and employment needs. It also includes draft development management policies. This is to guide the decisions made on planning applications submitted to the council.

The consultation will last for eight weeks from Monday, 29 July until Monday, 23 September 2019 at 5.00pm.
