Swindon Borough Council undertook a Regulation 18 Consultation on the emerging Local Plan 2043 between Monday, 1 September 2025 and Monday, 13 October 2025. Residents, landowners and other stakeholders were invited to comment on our proposals for development up to 2043.
The consultation is now closed. The representations received are available, and a Consultation Statement will be published in due course.
Consultation responses

The index table lists each respondent's response number, name, job title (where provided), organisation (where provided), and whether they are acting on behalf of another party. It also includes links to the relevant document so responses can be viewed alongside the correct page number.

What happens next
The emerging Swindon Local Plan 2043 has now reached its Regulation 19 publication stage. The Regulation 19 publication stage runs for six weeks, from 24 September to 11.59pm on 5 November 2026.
