Anti-social behaviour

How the ASB team can help you

We have a dedicated team of Anti-Social Behaviour officers, responsible for dealing with anti-social behaviour within the communities of Swindon.

What can ASB officers do to resolve ASB?

Depending on each individual case, they have several different powers available to tackle anti-social behaviour.

Informal measures

  • Acceptable behavioural contracts or good neighbour agreements
  • Mediation referrals
  • Speaking to the person responsible
  • Issuing an advisory letter

Formal measures

Under the ASB Crime & Policing Act 2014, our ASB officers have designated powers to deal with more complex and persistent issues of anti-social behaviour occurring within the community.

These range in severity and some can be utilised by both Wiltshire Police, Swindon Borough Council or Registered Social Landlords.
