Buy with confidence scheme
Buy With Confidence is a national register of businesses that meet legal and fair trading standards.
More than 50 local authorities support the scheme, including Swindon Borough Council.
How businesses are approved
Businesses join the scheme only after they pass detailed checks carried out by Trading Standards.
Checks include:
- a visit from a qualified Trading Standards officer
- making sure the business operates legally, honestly and fairly
All approved businesses are monitored on an ongoing basis.
