What we are doing to help rough sleepers and those at risk of becoming homeless

Offer safe and secure accommodation

We work with a number of agencies to provide accommodation for rough sleepers. We have a statutory duty to offer emergency accommodation to anyone we deem eligible and vulnerable.

Accommodation can be found at Culvery Court, Booth House, the Swindon Foyer and Radnor House, among others. A complete list of temporary sleeping options can be found in our Homeless in Swindon guidebook (PDF).

In addition to the 70 bed spaces in the direct access hostels, there are over 60 bed spaces designated for young people at the Swindon Foyer and 22 units at Swindon’s Women’s Refuge for those fleeing domestic abuse. There are also some smaller specialist supported housing projects.
