Stop smoking service

Our trained Stop Smoking coaches will work with you to beat your craving and change your smoking habits by offering friendly, non-judgemental advice, tips and information.

What you can expect

The Stop Smoking service offers tailored one-to-one support, either face-to-face, on the phone or online, over an eight to twelve-week period

Each referral is assessed for suitability. Once your referral is allocated to the service, one of our Stop Smoking coaches will be in touch to arrange your first appointment.

Your first session will last for 30 to 40 minutes with follow-up sessions of 15 minutes to complete the course. During these sessions, our trained coach will support you with:

  • developing an individually tailored quit plan
  • making sustainable behaviour change
  • managing cravings and temptations
  • concerns about weight gain and/or managing stress
  • advice on suitable medication or a vape kit
  • free carbon monoxide testing
  • up to 12 weeks of stop smoking medication for people who are exempt from prescription charges
