Stop Smoking campaign - 'What will you miss'

What Will You Miss is a South West campaign that encourages more people to try to stop smoking.

It focuses on people who:

  • have smoked for many years
  • are not currently thinking about stopping
  • may overlook the health risks
  • are less likely to respond to traditional stop smoking messages

Every attempt to stop smoking matters. The campaign aims to encourage anyone who sees it to consider quitting.

When the campaign is running

The campaign launches during the week of 21 September 2026. It runs until the end of October 2026.

How the campaign works

The campaign focuses on what smoking can quietly take away. This includes weddings, birthdays and everyday moments that people cannot get back.

The images aim to build awareness of the harm caused by smoking. They also encourage people to stop and show them where to find support.

How your organisation can help

Your organisation or community group can help the campaign reach more people across Swindon.

Use the resources as part of your promotional activity. You can share them with the people and communities you work with.

Each resource includes a QR code. People can scan the code with a smartphone to find local stop smoking support.
