Hoarding and self-neglect
Our Hoarding and Self-Neglect Navigators can work alongside you to support you to enhance your wellbeing and quality of life, with particular focus on how you manage your home environment and self-care.
What you can expect
Your Hoarding and Self-Neglect Navigator will offer one-to-one, practical and motivational coaching for up to a year, tailoring your journey to your goals and motivations.
Each referral is assessed for suitability. Once your referral is allocated to the service, one of our Live Well Navigators will be in touch to arrange your first appointment.
Your Navigator will visit you at home and start to explore your aspirations, barriers and motivations. Together, you will set goals and create a personal plan so that you can improve your wellbeing.
The service draws upon the expertise of a trained psychotherapist who can help explore the origins of hoarding and self-neglect behaviours in a supportive, non-judgemental way, gradually creating the conditions for change.
Live Well Swindon also run a Hoarding Peer Support group each month. This takes place on the first Tuesday of every month at Sanford House, Sanford Street, Swindon, SN1 1HE and runs between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.
You can attend if you have hoarding behaviour yourself or if you are worried about a loved one and want to explore ways to support them. You do not have to book to attend this group.
