Pre-planning enquiries

If you are a developer or land promoter considering a new site for development, Thames Water can help even before you apply for planning permission. The earlier the engagement, the better.

The pre-planning service can tell you at an early stage if there is capacity in water and/or waste water networks to serve a potential development. It can also tell you what Thames Water do if there isn’t capacity.

You can use this as evidence to support a planning application. Thames Water can then prepare to serve the new development at the point of need, helping to avoid delays to your programme.
