School admission arrangements

Every school must have an admission policy. This explains how the school considers applications for places.

The policy includes:

  • the school's published admission number
  • the oversubscription criteria
  • other areas covered by the admission policy

Community and voluntary controlled schools

We write and publish admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools.

The following pages provide the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools for each relevant school year.

Individual school policies

Schools which are their own admitting authorities, are responsible for their own admissions policy and catchment area if they have one.

Parents can access these policies and supplementary forms via the schools own websites.

You can find up-to-date contact details for all schools in Swindon on the official GOV.UK 'Get Information about Schools' service. View Swindon school contact details on GOV.UK.
