Pay a Penalty Charge Notice
You can pay a Penalty Charge Notice online or by telephone. You can also challenge a notice or report one as lost.
Penalty Charge Notice scams
We do not send text messages asking you to pay a Penalty Charge Notice.
If you receive one of these messages:
- do not reply
- do not select any links
- do not provide personal or payment information
Criminals may also place fake QR codes on parking signs or payment machines.
Warning signs include:
- a QR code that looks damaged, altered, or placed over another code
- a QR code that takes you to an unfamiliar website
- a Penalty Charge Notice message from an unknown telephone number
- a text message containing a suspicious website link
To protect yourself:
- use an official parking app or enter the official website address yourself
- check the website address carefully before making a payment
- If something seems suspicious, call us on 01793 445500 or email parking@swindon.gov.uk to verify your Penalty Charge Notice.

Pay a Penalty Charge Notice online
To pay online, you will need:
- the Penalty Charge Notice number shown on your parking ticket
- your vehicle registration number
Enter your notice number correctly
Your Penalty Charge Notice number starts with the letters SI.
This is S for Sierra followed by I for India. It is not S followed by the number one.
Enter these letters correctly when paying online or by telephone. An incorrect notice number may delay your payment.
If you pay in 14 days, you will pay the lower amount shown on the ticket.
