Community Hubs in Swindon

Community Hubs bring advice, information and support closer to where you live. They bring council teams, partners and local organisations together in familiar places, such as libraries and community buildings.

Community Hubs across Swindon

Our Community Hub network is developing. Every Hub has the same purpose: helping you find information, understand your options and connect with the right support closer to home.

Support for families is available at The Meadows in Penhill.

A fourth Community Hub is planned for West Swindon Library at the Link Centre. It is due to open later in 2026.

The support available at each Hub reflects the needs of its local community.

What a Community Hub can help with

At a Community Hub, you can:

  • talk through concerns early
  • access council services and get help finding other organisations when needed
  • find out what support is available locally
  • connect with local services and community groups

You do not need to know exactly which service you need. The team can explain your options and, where appropriate, connect you with the right support.

Support available at Community Hubs

Support varies between Hubs and will develop over time, based on local needs and conversations with local people and partners.

We may not always have an answer or solution straight away, but we can give you time and space to talk through the issue.

Depending on the Hub and local needs, you may be able to get information, advice or links to:

  • council services and customer support
  • family and community support
  • housing information and support
  • employment, learning and skills information
  • health and wellbeing support
  • welfare and resilience support
  • library and digital inclusion services
  • voluntary and community organisations
  • community safety information and support
  • support for children and young people

Some support will come directly from teams based at or visiting a Hub. In other cases, the team can help you connect with the most appropriate service.

Community Hubs will also provide space for local partners to work alongside council teams, depending on local need.

You can still get support through existing services. Our libraries provide advice and digital assistance.

You can also contact customer services if you cannot use our online services.
