Community hubs in Swindon
Community hubs are being developed across Swindon to bring advice, guidance and support closer to where people live.
They bring Council teams, partners and local organisations together in familiar places such as libraries and community buildings, so you can get help in one place.
What is a Community hub?
A community hub is a welcoming local space where different services work together under one roof. You can:
- get advice and information
- talk through concerns early
- access support for yourself or your family
- connect with local services and community groups
You don't need to know which service you need. Just pop in and start the conversation. Community hubs are designed to make getting advice and support simpler and more straightforward.
What support will hubs offer?
Each hub will reflect the needs of its local area, but most will bring together services such as:
- early help and family support
- housing and tenancy advice
- employment and skills guidance
- health and wellbeing support
- youth and community work
- community safety services
- library and digital inclusion services
- voluntary and community organisations
Hubs will also provide space for a range of local partners to work alongside Council teams, depending on local need.
The offer in each hub will grow and develop over time, shaped by conversations with residents and partners.
Our first community hub: Park Library
In February 2026 we opened our first community hub at Park Library in Cavendish Square. The hub is open during normal library opening hours, so you can drop in when it suits you.
We are starting small and building it together. That means we will:
- open with a starting range of support
- listen carefully to residents and partners
- make changes and improvements based on what we hear
Park Community Hub will help us learn what works best before we open hubs in other areas.
You can find out more about the Park Community Hub and share your views on the Let’s Talk Swindon website.
Planned hubs across Swindon
Over time, community hubs will form a connected network across the borough, making it easier to access support closer to home. Future hubs are planned at:
- The Meadows in Penhill (from April 2026)
- Central Library in the town centre (from April 2026)
- West Swindon Library at the Link Centre (later in 2026)
Each hub will be shaped with residents and partners, which means no two hubs will look exactly the same.
What they will all share is the same purpose: making it easier to get the right help at the right time, closer to home.

Need help now?
While the hubs are being developed you can still access support through existing services. Our libraries provide advice and digital assistance, and you can contact customer services if you cannot use our online services.
