Volunteer to help your local library

Library photo 1
We welcome everyone aged 14 – 114 to volunteer

Swindon Libraries are looking for volunteers to get involved in a variety of activities. There is something for everyone, whatever your interest and whatever time you have available.
If you would like to volunteer for Swindon Libraries, you must first attend a Volunteer Recruitment Evening. This is a chance for anyone interested in volunteering with Swindon Libraries to find out more information.

We discuss available roles, what is involved, explain the application process and provide information about training and the benefits of volunteering with the library service.

Volunteer recruitment events

By volunteering you can develop your skills, meet new people and contribute to your local community. We are looking for volunteers to help with Summer Reading Challenge, library support, library IT, english conversation clubs, children’s storytime and activities, library events and lots more. We are looking for volunteers at all 15 libraries in Swindon.

Find your nearest local library where you can volunteer and then view the dates below for the next three volunteer recruitment evenings. Make sure you register so we know you’re coming. There will be tea, cake and coffee plus a chance to meet us and ask any questions relevant to volunteering.

There will be no Volunteer Recruitment Event in October. The next available event will be in November as detailed below.
