About the plan

The plan explains our vision for sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Swindon. It shows how we aim to support businesses, improve local places and create new opportunities for people who live and work here.

We will work with partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors to deliver long-term growth.

What the plan covers

The plan is built around seven priority themes that guide how we will support growth across the borough, including:

  • business and investment
  • branding, place and creativity
  • regeneration and place
  • infrastructure and connectivity
  • green economy
  • employment and skills
  • community wealth building

Investment and opportunities

The plan identifies the key sectors and locations with the strongest potential for growth. This includes major regeneration and investment sites, along with new opportunities to support both new and existing businesses.

What happens next

We will use the plan to guide future decisions, investment and partnership work. Progress will be reviewed on a regular basis to make sure the plan delivers the right outcomes for Swindon’s economy and communities.
