Neighbourhood wardens
Neighbourhood wardens work in their neighbourhoods providing a service to council tenants. Their main role is to improve the quality of life for residents.
Their day-to-day activities include:
- responding to community issues
 - creating a safer and cleaner environment
 - encouraging community involvement
 - participating in community projects
 - promoting respect for people and property
 - inspecting communal areas of blocks of flats
 - promoting the involvement of young people in their local environment through the young warden scheme and school projects
 - helping tenants and leaseholders to access other organisations and services

- environment
 - anti-social behaviour
 - litter or fly-tipping
 - graffiti
 - disposal of used needles
 - local disputes
 - community safety
