Why not join us as a Community Champion. We are looking for enthusiastic and well connected individuals to help us spread key message to local people, helping them stay up to date with the latest guidance and advice. The Community Champions are a network of volunteers who are keen to promote key public health messages.
Swindon Borough Council Public Health Team will keep our Community Champions informed of the latest advice and guidance and will host exclusive Q&A sessions with our Director of Public Health, Steve Maddern. This initiative is designed to spread messages at a local level to keep everyone up to date and informed. We want to make the information easy to understand, relevant locally and translatable across local communities. By sharing up to date information from reliable and trustworthy sources, we hope people will feel confident and supported to make informed choices.
In the first instance the Community Champions will be asked to spread messages about the Covid 19 pandemic as this is the most pressing issue for us all at this time, however over time our plan is to share and promote other public health messages which promote positive health and wellbeing.
