Autism support for those aged 16+

If you are aged 16 or over, live in Swindon, and are waiting for an autism assessment or already have an autism diagnosis, you can get support from the Swindon and Gloucester Mind Autism Service.


Who can get support

Swindon and Gloucester Mind supports people aged 16 and over who live in Swindon and:

  • are on the waiting list for an autism assessment
  • already have an autism diagnosis

What support is available

They offer direct support with things that may affect your day-to-day life, including:

  • wellbeing and self-esteem
  • living skills and self-care
  • communication

They can also help you work towards a specific goal, for example getting a job or finding voluntary work.

They give advice, guidance and information about other services to:

  • individuals
  • families
  • parents
  • carers
  • professionals

How they can support you

Support is available through:

  • one-to-one support
  • peer support groups
  • phone, email or in-person support
