DFN Project Search

DFN Project Search is a one-year transition to work programme designed to challenge and change cultures, demonstrating how young people with a learning disability, and/or autism, can enrich the workforce. We welcomed our first cohort of young people who join the programme for 2023-2024.

The programme will provide vital work-based learning opportunities at the Swindon Borough Council, Great Western Hospital Trust and Amazon, with a view to helping the interns develop their employability skills as well as providing hands-on experience in the workplace.

Swindon Borough Council, Great Western Hospital Trust, Amazon, New College Swindon, DFN Project Search and Swindon SEND Families Voice have come together to make this programme possible

Eligibility criteria

Open to individuals aged 18-24
Applicants must live in Swindon
An Education Health and Care (EHC) Plan is required
