Service summary

Pivot Psychological Services provides specialist, relationship-based support for young people aged 12 to 25 who are not accessing education or are at risk of their educational placement breaking down.

The service aims to help young people return to education, move successfully into suitable educational settings and prepare for adulthood.

Who the service supports

Pivot Psychological Services works with young people who may:

  • Be out of education or regularly absent from school
  • Be at risk of exclusion or their educational placement breaking down
  • Have autism, including a profile of pathological demand avoidance (PDA)
  • Have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Have experienced trauma
  • Display harmful sexual behaviours
  • Experience gender dysphoria
  • Experience anxiety or depression
