The Big Adventure Club provides a holiday club for children and young people with support needs in Tiers 1 to 4. The service aims to provide a learning environment that is inviting and nurturing and is inclusive for all.

The service is child-led, meaning that children and young people can explore, learn and have fun while making their own choices. Some of the activities on offer for children and young people includes: sports, table top games, consoles, a quiet area, a construction area, arts and crafts, a disco room and an outdoor area.

Some staff currently work in schools as one-to-one teaching assistants and all managers hold SEND training. The Big Adventure Club ask staff to do online training which includes SEND and Autism as part of their annual training.

Parents or carers usually book onto the programme through the HAF page and then follow up with an email to discuss their child or young person’s needs. The Big Adventure Club are unable to take children in nappies as they do not have changing facilities.

We have been providing childcare in Swindon for 33 years, we have always been awarded a minimum good or Met by Ofsted on every inspection. We are a large childcare company that provides childcare for in excess of 4,500 children across Swindon.

Our experience with providing childcare is that we are continually evolving and learning and working to improve on all aspects of care that we provide, at present we have 6 morning clubs, 14 after school clubs and 3 holiday clubs with a minimum 250 children in attendance every day during term time, this number can then rise during the school holiday periods.
