Soccer and Sporting Excellence Academy provides children with sports and football camps to engage them and keep them active throughout the school holidays. Alongside promoting physical health, children are also educated about the importance of healthy eating. The service works with children from a range of backgrounds, including those with support needs in Tiers 1 and 2.

Each session is designed to allow children to have fun, experience different sports and learn new practical skills. Children will also have the opportunity to work with other children in the community and can make friends in a positive and safe environment. Children will have the opportunity to engage in a range of sports, including: Basketball, Cricket, Dodgeball, Rounders, Tennis, Badminton, Races and Challenges.

The variety of sports available to them, enables the children to improve their sporting skills, co-ordination and awareness, whilst also becoming more physically active. They are also likely to build new friendships through their social engagement with other children and they can also learn about the benefits of eating healthily.

Our holiday sport camps are always well attended, and we receive very positive feedback from parents of the children who have attended.

Our staff/coaches have the relevant experience and necessary skills to work with these children because of the work we do in our normal business where we run various football coaching clubs for children aged 4 to 11 and teach physical education and run after school sports clubs in primary schools throughout Swindon and the surrounding area.

Staff have a range of qualifications, including Safeguarding, Introduction to First Aid, FA Playmaker, FA Respect for Coaches and FA PE CPD for Teachers. All staff also have a valid DBS Certificate.
