Swindon Town FC Community Foundation offers weekly disability football sessions and multisport holiday camps for children and young people with Tier 1 support needs.

The programme aims to improve attainment while also developing social and communication skills. The multisport holiday camp provision provides children and young people with disabilities the opportunity to be active during the school holidays while also offering respite to the carers.

Alongside promoting physical activity, Swindon Town FC Community Foundation also supports the development of resilience, communication and self-awareness.

All coaches within the provision have undertaken the FA ‘Introduction to Coaching Disabled Footballer’s’ course and have a number of years of experience delivering these activities. Two of the lead deliverers have undertaken the team teach qualification and one is an active teacher at a SEN school.

Individual participants can access the service through parent referral. Once participants are registered on the online system for the weekly session, their space is secured for the academic year. Multisport holiday camps are individual course which participants will need to be signed up to each time they attend.

Sessions are run in smaller groups with a coach to child ratio of a maximum of 1:4.
